    Hey team,

    I had a question.
I’m a long time fcpx user, but I recently decided to open up premiere because I’ve got a growing interest in integrating AE into my workflow.

I’m reviewing some clips though and I’m not totally happy.

I can post side by images later, but at first glance, it seems that the clips open into premiere have remained a bit softer and that the roll off in the highlights looks notably smoother.

Again, I don’t have the side by side yet, but is there any way that FCPX might be clipping my highlights at a lower threshold?

I’m shoooting in a modified cine-4 profile and it just looks like I’m losing data in the top end of my fcpx files.

    Thoughts?

I haven’t touched Premiere in a long time but my experience was always the opposite – that Premiere clipped the whites way more aggressively than FCPX. I’ll be interested to see side by side images.
