Has anyone tried to do an NTSC to PAL conform in FCPX yet? I was working on a project today and decided to see how it would handle the footage.

To my surprise… very well! Here’s what I did. Final NTSC QT (1080psf23.98) imported to X. New PAL Project created (1080p25). Plopped the footage in the timeline and… no render bar? Eh? I guess that means FCP auto conformed it? Can anyone give me confirmation on this?

The one thing I did have to do was add a pitch correction filter, which actually worked. I exported the QT and played back through AJA TV and everything seems ok.

I’m probably double-guessing myself here, since there’s been so much wrong with X. Anyway, anyone try this yet?
