Hi all, any help on this issue…
It seems that audio in my timeline will only play when I switch the pan mode to default (as opposed to none, which is the default). Many compound clips, projects, and even clips in the browser require me to switch back and forth between pan modes and channel configurations just to be able to hear the audio… Anyone with some insight?

how are you monitoring your audio?

    thanks.

I am using Soundsticks…. But there are no levels moving in the audio pane… so it is not the output.

Oh, you mean there’s actually no sound coming out at all?

Is your timeline setup for surround or stereo?

no sound at all…. I can switch the timeline setup to surround or stereo, but it only seems to work if I individually turn all the audio clips within the timeline to the default pan mode (surround) then switch the timeline to surround as well. Which is not what I want.
