YES They DO.
Files processed via the Transfer tool ( like with FCP7) work without issue on FCPX.
I am just now getting to the Release version, there are some minor differences.

June 28, 2011 at 4:30 amTrying to download XDCAM Transfer from Sony site as Apple Support directs me to it but hit free download and it downloads a Citrix app and error message. How do you get XDCam Transfer?

Final Cut Pro X
Choose Software Update from the Apple () menu after installing Final Cut Pro X to install Pro Apps QuickTime codecs.
Visit https://www.servicesplus.sel.sony.com/sony-software-model-PDZKP1.aspx and download the Sony XDCAM Transfer software version 2.12.
Then visit https://www.servicesplus.sel.sony.com/sony-software-model-PDWU1.aspx and download PDWU1 (XDCAM Drive Software) version 2.3.2.
