  FCPX and Sony MTS files

  Hi, I read in one of the posts that FCPX doesn’t edit Sony MTS files natively. Can someone clarify me if its true, and if it is how does FCPX handles these files? We have Sony NEX VG-10 and we would like to edit it natively or to have the quality of the native footage without having to log and transfer to a 20 times bigger ProRes file.

  The native edit was why I wanted to purchase FCPX but until this question is clear we will not buy it.
