FCPX and HDV
I am looking at getting FCPX to use for capturing HDV footage and then transferring the files to my main computer to edit with FCP7. (The idea being so that I can be capturing on one machine at the same time as editing on another.) Can anyone tell me if this will be possible? And can FCPX captures HDV footage in its native codec?

Well… for starters… (if my memory is correct) exporting formats are limited if using FPCX. And,…(most importantly) …that seems like an expensive application to buy/use only for capturing HDV video.
