Hello, I feel like I should know this but i can’t seem to figure it out.

I’m using FCPX 10.1.2 and I’m trying to add the Date/Time title on top of all of my clips individually so it shows the timestamp for each individual clip. Right now I’m dragging it to each individual clip and it is taking a long time. Can anyone help me out please? ( I can’t put the Date/time title on a new layer because then it just continues the time from the first clip)

    Any help is appreciated thanks!!

Extend the date/time over all the clips, and then slice the tile at every cut.

Not exactly automatic, but a bit faster.

Yeah, the TC generator used to be able to read *source* TC from clips in the timeline, but that broke with (I think) 10.0.5 for some odd reason. FCP definitely needs that back. A generator that can read source TC and/or date/time for that matter. Put this on radar a loooong time ago. Might want to up the vote by sending feedback also. 😉
