hi, i bought fcp suite 2 on ebay and it worked great for a while, but now everytime i try to launch it, it asked for the serial number. i put the serial number in and then it says it’s invalid. i’m typing it correctly and everything, but i cannot get into my fcp.

any suggestions? i have some projects due soon! i would love some help.

    thanks a lot guys.

    Try this, go to –

Mac HD/Library/Application Support/ProApps and remove the final Final Cut Studio System ID (just put it on the desktop and then launch FCP set it the serial number will work.

hmmm… i read that in another thread about this problem, but i don’t even have a “proapps” folder in my application support folder. i have even done a search for that folder in my spotlight and nothing. in my FCP folder in my application support folder, there is no system id.

    any other thoughts?

    thanks for the help

I am having exactly the same problem. There is no ProApps folder in my Final Cut folder in the Library and every time I enter the serial it’s telling me it’s invalid – it is driving me crazy. How did you fix this in the end?
