Can Quicktime DVCProHD(1080i) files from a FCP/Kona 3 system be imported into Avid Adrenaline HD? If not is there any other format that can?

Can Quicktime DVCProHD(1080i) files from a FCP/Kona 3 system be imported into Matrox Axio HD/Premeir Pro? If not is there any other format that can?

Can a Final Cut Pro/Kona 3 system import MPEG2HD I-frame files from a Matrox Axio HD?

Just looking to move the indivual media files, no effects, titles or sequences.

supposedly Media Composter (and adrenlaine) can handle DVCPROHD but this is contingent on version. MC 2.6 can play it at least. Hate to push another forum but avid forums will definitely settle this in a more specific manner for you.

You can move DVC Pro HD QT movies from FCP to Avid as long as both are on OS X platform. Apple does not provide the FCP DVC Pro HD codec on the PC platform. Apple has their own codec for DVC Pro HD as well as Avid. But like anything else in digital video world, the receiving software must have access to the video’s codec or it will not work.

Avids supports DVC Pro HD on version 2 or higher of Adrenaline. But as I mentioned before, without the codec from Apple, Avid will not know how to translate the FCP QT movies.

Also don’t forget that Avids do not understand QT based TC information.
