FCP/FCX Boot Question

The only thing it doesn’t do is launch on initial send to.
After that, it’s fine. Once you’re back in fcp7 and right click on “open in editor”, motion 4 launches. It’s not a huge deal and it still works with one little limitation

OK. So do a Send To in FC7 after you do the install of FCX… let it do what it does and restart FC7… then it should work. Is that correct?

No.
Everytime you do a “send to” in Motion from FCP 7, it asks you to save a motion project.
Choose a destination, unclick “launch motion”, save. Find the motion project, right click and choose “open with” and choose motion 4. Do the work, hit save, and it is updated in FCP 7.
If you need to adjust, right click in fcp7 and choose “open in editor”.
I have no idea what it will do with legacy or restored projects.
You might need to open them within motion 4 first and save.
