    Hello to all,

Not sure what I’m doing wrong but video will not playback on my Boland external monitor. A frame will show on the monitor when parked on the timeline but video won’t play through when playing the timeline. Can anyone shed light on where my settings are incorrect?

    Thanks so much,
    Lisha

In the EXTERNAL VIDEO menu…just above the VIDEO PLAYBACK…make sure it is set to ALL FRAMES

IN the Blackmagic preference pane, in SYSTEM PREFERENCES…in the SYSTEM PROCESSING tab…are ALL OUTPUTS active?

    Yes.

Also, in Final Cut Pro I can click on “Show Current” and the current frame will show on my external monitor.

Uninstall and reinstall the drivers. Get the LATEST drivers, and install those.

what about the canvas in fcp? had the same behaviour? if so,one reason could be that the canvas is in Wireframe mode.

I don’t use either FCP or Blackmagic hardware so this is just a guess – according to your screenshots your source is 8 Bit and you’ve selected 10 Bit in the list. Have you tried the 8 Bit setting?

Uninstalled and reinstalled the latest driver from the website. Still able to see the frame I’m parked on in the timeline on my external monitor but footage in the timeline will not play in the external monitor.

Footage plays in the canvas. When I stop playing the timeline the frame I stopped on shows on my external monitor.
