FCP7 : timeline to timeline copy paste changes aspect ratio of clip
hi all,
i m doing a project in fcp… i have multiple timelines … all timeline settings are in same (HD) format…
Problem : if i copy clips from one timeline to another timeline it changes itz aspect ratio….
then i hav to change the aspect ratio of each and every clip manually from 33.33 to 0…
OMG… i already editid my footage..
plz help me someone…

They aren’t all in the same aspect ratio I’ll bet. In what you are describing, one is 1920×1080 and another is 1440×1080.
Once you set the distortion on one clip…copy that and paste attributes, DISTORT to the other clips.

Go to your sequence settings in the menu. This will show you the details of your currently displayed sequence.
Alternatively you can see the sequence details in your project window (top left window with all sequences, media, etc.) by scrolling to the right.
Shane’s comment above will then very quickly help you configure your footage to the desired size and ratio.

Or just copy and paste it, highlight it, go to modify, and select conform to sequence.
