  • FCP7 suddenly decides I lack quartz extreme capable card — but was working OK this am

FCP 7 working fine this morning. This afternoon…. error message saying FCP requires a Quartz Extreme Video Card. Not good news at all.

    Running OX X version 10.6.7
2.53 Intel Core 2 duo processor
    NVIDIA GeForce 9400M graphics

I presume some software update has screwed me out of being able to use FCP on this laptop…..

Any suggestions greatly appreciated — waiting till 6am to call support is making me ill.

I have this come up years ago. I tracked it down to using a second monitor and the aja card. Installed the non desktop display version of the Aja card and that fixed the issue.

I am having the same issue today. Did you find out what to do with this?
