  • FCP7 Subtitles to Premiere – “edit b’ subtitles/lower 3rd” does not transfer via xml, but “title” does

this is a puzzle. I have a long fcp7 film with subtitles. Some were made with the “lower 3rd” tool and some with the “title” tool. (The latter had to be placed at the bottom of the frame individually)

When I export via xml and import to Premiere the titles made by the lower 3rd generator do not transfer, (there is a placeholder file but no text) but the titles made with the “title” tool DO transfer – (though not at the bottom of the frame – now there are in the center.)

is there any tool that bring titles over to premiere? Will the long lost automatic duck tool do it?
InqScribe? Belle nuit subtitler? Could I export a movie of just the subtitles and then layer it on my Premiere project?

Or could I, in some automated fashion, turn all my “lower 3rd” titles into “titles”, and then output?

    Thanks for any help.
