FCP7 + Photoshop CS6
Hi,
I just installed Photoshop CS6 to my FCP7 machine. In the past I’ve used Photoshop 7 and at my day job, FCP6 and Photoshop CS5. I’ve noticed if I create an image with transparent background. FCP imports the image and BLACKS out the background. I’ve tried targas, PNGs, Tiffs, the only solution is to import the PSD file open it up in the time lane and copy the video track. I haven’t had this issue with any previous version of Photoshop.
Doe anyone here have a solution? I haven’t been able to find any information on this. Thank you for any help.

Try exporting the photoshop doc as a quicktime movie, and then bring that into FCP. It only generated a one frame file, but I then created a freeze frame in FCP and was able to achieve the effect I wanted. Hope that helps.
