  FCP7 Dumb Guy Basic Overwrite Edit Question – No Audio with Edit

  Hi – Long time Avid guy, has to edit a project in FCP7. Have remapped keyboard to suit… BUT…

  In FCP 7, When I drag the simplest edit from viewer to canvas
  — a clip made up of Video, Audio 1 and Audio 2 — only the Video comes in.

  Same thing if I hit F10 to overwrite, or use the overwrite overlay in the canvas window, or use the
  little red overwrite button, I get only video. Ditto for Insert.

  However, when I drag the clip into the timeline, the audio shows up. The patch panel has V1,A1,A2 all connected.

  I know I must be missing something really basic here, but I can’t figure it out. How can I make overwrite edits that include the video —
