FCP7 crashes everytime I render
I recently upgraded to FCP7 after upgrading my computer to the latest version of Snow Leopard. I use a Canon DSLR so I installed Canon’s EOS plug-in which helps with the 4:2:2 workload in FCP7. My footage plays back fine within, but everytime I go to render, FCP7 crashes. In Safe RT and Unlimited RT, this happens – even when the clip is small in length. I never had any render problems in FCP6 or on Leopard – what seems to be going on here?

Explain both “upgrade” methods Tom.
Do you mean you installed SL and FCS 3 over the top of Leopard and FCS 2?
And, please be exact, what version of the OS are you running now and what version of FCP?

Thanks for the response.
Currently I am running Snow Leopard 10.6, while using FCP7. I upgraded from using FCP6 and Leopard.
