    Hey guys,

I’m having trouble with a project I’ve just completed on FCP7 – when I export, the audio distorts and in some parts there is even an audible beep over the top of the audio.

I’ve tried re-exporting many times, and I’ve even copied everything into a new project and the same thing has happened. For some reason also, it keeps getting me to render things I’ve already rendered, so I ignored rendering it again and just exported it. Could this be the reason for my problems?

I will hit ‘Render All’ and then try exporting it for the fourth time and see what happens, although I’m having doubts that it is the cause.

I’ve been compressing it to Apple ProRes 422 1920 x 1080 25p 48kHz, so the video is fine however the audio is a huge problem. It plays fine on FCP, just not when I export it.

Has anyone had this happen to them? And if so what did you do to fix it?

What is the audio format/specs when you are importing these files?
Have you tried doing a mix down of the audio b/4 export.

You should convert all audio to 48k aif or wav before importing into the edit.
