we’ve done this many a times before with this client, but now we are getting this error….speed changes are not compatible or something to that affect. This is a recurring show, and they use these speed changes to simulate timelapse…never had this problem in the first shows we did when going to 7….(had to go for other reasons, read SNL) but now the last couple shows we get this issue.

another side effect of this error is that when we work on the sequence that we had media managed from their original v6 project, and try to adjust the clips with timewarp, it doesn’t leave the timeline alone when we choose don’t ripple, it ripples regardless….any thoughts?

Anytime you have issues of ANY sort in FCP… Trash your prefs, reset your permissions, and check your disks for any errors using something like DiskWarroir.

Maybe purchasing a program such as the FCS Maintenance Pack will help with your issues inside of your timelines.
