Why does FCP forget where a projects Scratch/Autosave/Thumbnail/Waveform Cache are located when you switch from project to project or just boot up the system. This seems
like a pretty basic functionality…has it always been this forgetful?

Yes, preferences are stored in your prefs library and not with each project.

It’s always been this way with FCP, and many wish it would change.

Thanks Jeremy, I will file a report with Apple in hopes it will be addressed someday.

I would LOVE to see as an option. I have submitted this a couple of time. Probably time to do it again!
