FCP6 and Keynote Import
Hey everyone. I’ve got a question I’m hoping someone might be able to help me with.
I currently have 7 or 8 terabytes of video on various hard drives and I’m trying to figure out how I can collect edited clips from some of the videos on the different hard drives in order to put them on my MacBookPro. Some of the drives are external and some are part of my MacPro desktop setup.The videos are all soccer games captured from my DVR and I’d like to collect certain clips to put into a Keynote Presentation that I could then take with me on my MacBookPro in order to present to our team.
The editing and inserting into Keynote isn’t the problem…my issue is whether or not I have to copy every 25GB video I use onto my MacBookPro, even though I may only be using 1GB or 2GB worth of the entire video. Does the whole video have to be transfered over so that Keynote can reference the video I’ve extracted the clip from?
I hope that makes sense and thanks in advance for the help as I just can’t seem to figure it out.

Just export self contained movies of each of the pieces you want.

Thank you Peter! You have no idea how big of a help this is! Something so simple never crossed my mind as I was trying to drag the selected clips into Keynote and thus my dilemma! Thanks again!!
