Thought I would start this, I’m sure many people will want a place to see “real world” uses for some of these new features.

MULTICAM….Finally!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That alone is worth the $600… at least for me.

Audio Control Surface… if this is implemented correctly, this would be a great new feature. Unfortunately they only list Mackie as a candidate. Any ideas from the NAB people, demos? This would make mixing shows a LOT better and more efficient.

HDV and P2… nice that its supported, but I’m still not convinced with the technology. The new Panasonic 200 cam might change that, but the P2’s will have to hold a LOT more info. HDV…. DV on steroids in my opinion. It looks good, but not as good as HDCAM or similar HD formats.

Good stuff so far…too bad I’m not in Vegas.

Unfortunately they only list Mackie as a candidate.

I think some other companie’s products are compatible with Mackie’s protocol. Tascam has stuff that is.

There’s info about new functionality in FCP’s motion tab. Is it just new scaling and rotation algortithm or is there something else? Anybody at NAB could be so kind to check this?
