    Aloha,

I just upgraded my system to OSX 10.4, Final Cut Studio, Decklink driver 5.0b4, Multibridge utility 1.4, and I am having several problems. Since FCP didn’t support HDV until now I have been capturing DV25 from HDR-FX1. After the upgrade FCP will not see the camera in DV any more. If I switch the camera to DV25 and tell FCP5 to capture DV25 it says no firewire device found. I tried in iMovieHD and can capture DV25 for the FX1 just fine. Has anyone else seen this and how can I fix it? We had been using an analog-to-digital converter to capture analog HD out and DV for deckcontrol and audio, but now I can’t do that.

Also, is there any way to disable the scene detection in the FCP5 HDV capture utility? It is causing a nightmare for a project we off-lined in DV25 with plans of on-lining in HDV. For the DV we captured the entire tape and did the edit. Now when we try to recapture HDV becomes hundreds of little files and doesn’t relink. We have media managed the project with 5 frame handles and I seems to be recapturing. This might have been nice to have at the begining of the project, but now I need to turn it off.

    Does anyone have any recommendations?

Just checking, but the VCR HDV/DV setting on your FX-1(menu) is it set to DV?
