    Hello all,

I just (today) got my dual 2gHz G5 (3gb ram) set up with the new Final Cut Studio. I’m trying to do multicamera and having some problems. I have 5 videos to mix and I recorded an audio track seperatly. I went through and synced all the video angles (in their own timelines) to the audio track so now they all have the same starting point. I went to go create a multicamera setup and for some reason it won’t take the sequences. I read the manual and it is supposed to be able to use subclips, but even if I subclip those sequences out it won’t let me set them up? Is my only option with multicam to output those new sequences as quicktimes and re import? That’s way more HD space than I’d like to give up (it’s an hour for each angle).

    Thank in advance,
    Cal

Multiclip won’t accept sequences. It can use subclips though.

I’ve had situations where, with reel changes, one would like multiple reels from one camera as one angel. It can’t be done. You can subclip where the breaks are and create another multiclip so you can put two multiclips in a sequence.

Yea, the other alternative is to take the sequence, export, import to make it one clip. I agree, not very efficient.

    Subclips do work though.

In stead of trying to use a sequence in a multiclip, have you rtied eporting each camera angle as a reference quicktime movie? It should be almost instantaneous and take up very little disk space. This would then be used as a new source clip for a multiclip.
