I’m in desperate need of some help…
I have an FCP project exported as a self contained FCP quicktime…I need to transform that file into an MPEG2 with audio and I’m using cleaner…I’m getting some really bad looking compressions with the default settings. Can anyone tell me what I’m doing wrong???

    Oh…my original quicktime is 720×486

i’ve tried the ‘manual’ crop and the ‘numeric’ crop inside cleaner…neither seem to make a difference.

    HELP!!!!

    thanks in advance.
    Michael.

Cleaner’s MPEG-2 has been broken since the release of 6.0. Only fix is to use a different tool.

The Compressor 2 bundled with FCP is much, much better (although Compressor 2 with FCP5 is much better than the one with FCP4).

Yes…I agree but is it possible to create ONE file in compressor??? I was under the impression that it will output 1 audio file and 1 video file…I need to have only ONE output file…if this is possible maybe you could instruct me how to do it???

    Thanks alot for the help.

In Compressor 2 Encoder pane there’s a checkbox for Multiplexed Mpeg-1/Layer 2 Audio. This creates and MPEG-2 Transport stream with multiplexed audio.
