    FCP XML to Premiere CS5 import failure

    Hi,

    I’m trying to transfer a project over from Final Cut 7 to Premiere Pro CS5. I select all the clips I want, and then go to File>Export>XLM and leave the options as they are and save out the XML file.
    I close Final Cut, go into Premiere and import my XML file. It shows the import box FCP XML box but after its completes it comes up with a File Import Failure dialogue box with the error message;

    ‘The imported reported a generic error.’

    I’ve tried every type of XML version from within final cut but without any joy on both a mac and PC version of Premiere Pro.

    Any help would be very much appreciated.
