Fcp Xml import problem – no valid sequences are present in the file –
Posted by Peszteres László on November 1, 2011 at 10:16 pmHi all.
I’ve been having some problems with confirming from an FCP-XML in Resolve. Whenever I go to Load and select my FCP XML I get an error window reading: no valid sequences are present in the file……?
Anyone else experienced this? Any suggestions?

February 22, 2012 at 1:37 pmHey,
I’ve been having the same problem… I tried with multiple XMLs in different states (i.e. just footage, with FCP filters etc.) but its always the same issue.
If anyone has any solution, it would be greatly appreciated 😀
Cheers,
Vince

April 4, 2012 at 9:04 pmSame for me. Tried everything I can come to think of, but no success. Same problem with my two computers. I also tried exporting XML from Premiere Pro via the FCP XML, but nada. Must be something simple that I´ve missad. But what?
Anyone?
Please! -

April 13, 2012 at 7:27 pmSolved with Resolve lite.
I uninstalled all of Blackmagics files, even decklink prefs, most of it manually, then installed the Lite version. It works now. Will figure out a way to install the other Resolve later. -

May 4, 2012 at 8:16 pmI have been running this round trip for a while and had no problems. For the first time in a month, I went back to do it again and go the no valid sequence error. I looked at the xml and noticed that there was a problem with the reference to one clip. The xml reported a file in the “original media” directory even though the source was the “transcoded media/high quality media” directory. So I fixed that but got no satisfaction…
I did run the Black Magic uninstaller from the dmg and then re-installed. Still no luck. I’m hoping someone finds a solution because I need this back.
