Imagine you’d have to use Xto7 (on the App store), open your timeline in FCP 7, then send to Shake.

I don’t think there’s any reasonable round-tripping between X and Shake; they are very very far apart in terms of software generation.

… but if you wanted to get to Nuke you could:

Not to Shake though as far as I know, but the Xto7 route should work just fine.

    [Simon Ubsdell] “https://clipexporter.mindtransplant.com/”

Great little app. 🙂 Sadly, as I was looking at the page just now, I read this:

    “ClipExporter utilizes QTKit…”

I say sadly because QTKit is now deprecated (which is why people have issues with previewing certain files in 10.9) Since ClipExporter is open source, maybe someone will rework it to use AV Foundation…

Good news is it still works for now. 🙂

In 10.9 Apple has introduced AV Kit which asensially does the same thing but against AV Foundation.
