FCP X Shady Beginnings
FCP X effect preset enabling you to boost the drop shadow over 4 times the normal strength.
Handy for when you want a really nice soft and blurred drop shadow, but normally the shadow becomes too light if you blur it too much.
This preset takes the normal drop shadow and allows you to choose different levels of shadow strength.
Apply as a shadow to a Picture in picture effect (make the clip a compound clip first), or add to any text effects as well.
All the normal shadow controls are there as well:
– Color
– Opacity
– Blur
– Distance
– AngleScreenshot:
Extract to a folder of your choosing inside /user name / movies / motion templates / Effects
(e.g extract to a new folder called “Custom Effects”)Cheers,

I think this whole new way of creating effects etc in motion and making them available and edititable in fcp is fantastic.
