    Hey,

I now fixed the kerning problem.. a bit tedious having to change every single letter.. but I can live with that. Much worse is the fact that FCP X doesn’t save my title changes. I have about 6 -7 title cards on the timeline. The first and second one are always saved in regards to line space. The rest won’t have the correct line spacing and with the exception of the 2nd to last title ( only one word) NONE of them will save the kerning changes I just spent time on making…. I assume this is a bug? What do I do?

I’m scared to close my project.

    🙁

Use Font Book to validate all fonts. Also 10.0.3 appears to have fixed this problem from my brief testing so far.

cool thanks. Font book is fine. But, I would like to upgrade to version 10.0.3 and I just had a look but all it says on the apple website, once i get through the store etc, is that it’s already installed and it doesn’t give me the option to upgrade. I definitely have version 10.0.2…how do I go about upgrading?

    Thank you!

    🙂

    Hi Deborah

The titling issues are really frustrating and they do seem to be better in 10.0.3

If you can’t download 10.0.3 what you need to do is trash your current version of FCPX from your application folder (just the fcpx app) and then download the new version.

The App store will then allow you to download the new version.

All your Events and Projects should be fine bit if you are mid way through something maybe wait till you have finished it before upgrading.

FCPX 10.0.3 is the most stable and mature version yet and definitely worth downloading.

    Good luck

    Hey Mark,

Thanks for the quick reply, all I have to do is trash the FCP X app… I’ll try that. I won’t have to pay the full amount again, will I?

    Cheers!

No – you can download it as many times as you like.

And download it onto other macs you might have.

Think of the app store as a virtual cupboard filled with all the things you have bought.

I didn’t like the idea at first, preferring to actually own a hard copy of software I have bought, but now think it’s great.

I had the same thought about hard copy vs download, but it does make it all a bit easier. I’m going to give this a try, thanks for the advice!

    Cheers
