I am working a project with a lot of stills in FCP X 10.0.4 and I have a constant problem with the inspector that dosen’t update, let me explain better I have STILL 1 in storyline and open inspector and reference to STILL 1, then I go to STILL 2 and the inspector is still telling me that it is STILL 1, It dosent update, I have to constantly shut down FCP X and restart and It refresh. I have delete preference with digital rebellion preference manager but still happen like every 5 to 10 minut in to the project. It is a pain in the XXXXX.

I hope nobody else have this problem.

Ricky, are you on a dual-monitor system? If so, I’ve mentioned here that I’ve been having some problems with the inspector in that situation. My fix is to set the windows to go back to single screen and then back to two. Also sometimes hitting cmd-1, cmd-2, and then back to cmd-1 jogs it back.

Let’s hope the next update fixes these problems. Seems like other are having inspector issues, as well.

    Ricky,

I had the same issue. However, I found that if I clicked on a video clip in the browser and had that load in the viewer then the viewer would “snap out of it” and start showing the correct still clip again.

It also happened more when I had AV out going to my MX02.

BTW. What is the type of stills you are using? JPEG, Raw files, etc. I have found that really big stills seem to increase the problem, but some times it happens on small stills too.

If you can isolate the issue definitely submit feedback to Apple and they will get on it.
