No it’s not a blog about the state of apple’s latest NLE release 😉

It’s a FCP X effect preset enabling you to obscure or highlight faces quickly.

    BG FCP X Identity Crisis

    Built in presets:

    Blur Face
    Pixellate Face
    Face Outline
    Face Highlight

Keyframe the mask position using the on screen control in the viewer.

    Screenshot:

Extract to a folder of your choosing inside /user name / movies / motion templates / Effects
(e.g extract to a new folder called “Custom Effects”)

    Cheers,

    Brendan

Thanks for sharing! BTW, did you base this off the FCPX Censor effect?

    [Tony Silanskas] “FCPX Censor “

I’m not finding this. Does it exist under another name?

Just search for “Censor” under the effects tab or click on “All” Effects and look for Censor. If it’s not there, maybe I got the “golden ticket” FCPX in which they added one extra filter to remind us with humor that they “censored” this first version. =)
