In the timeline when you delete a clip how to you not leave a gap?

The Delete key at the end of the top number row should Ripple Delete.
The Delete key below the fn key is Replace with Gap.
Of course this is if you’re using the full keyboard. -
If you’re not on a full-size keyboard, Shift+Delete replaces the clip with a gap.
