FCP won’t run without internet connection
I recently had to move my MacPro to another room that does not have ethernet access, and my early MacPro does not have wireless. I discovered that neither FCP 6 nor Compressor will run unless the machine has an internet connection. I just get an Unexpected Quit just before it is about to complete loading. I also have FCP on my MacPro and it runs with or without internet. Can anyone explain?

Don’t take this the wrong way, but are your software versions, um, legit?

Oh yes! Quite legit. I have the same version on the MacPro and the laptop, and, no, I don’t run them at the same time.
