The free Preference Manager from Digital Rebellion should help you.

Thanks for the tip. I installed the program and trashed the preferences but I’m still getting the same message. I re-installed Motion too and it didn’t seem to help.

Just to see if this works, let’s try going the other way, can you create a Motion template in Motion (use a “Final Cut Effect” or “Final Cut Generator”) and have it show up in FCPX?

Yeah, FCP will recognize items made in Motion but not the other way way around apparently. They need a therapist to learn to communicate better.

[Ignacio Holiday] “They need a therapist to learn to communicate better.”

Certainly some creative counseling otherwise known as criticism.

If you make a new admin user does it work?

I’m not sure what you mean; if I sign in as guest I can’t run FCP.

You have to create a whole new account.

Open Sys Prefs, Choose Users and Groups, create a new user with admin privileges.

Okay, well I tried this too and still no luck…

Again, what Title are you trying to open?

I’m just trying to modify a FCP title in Motion. It doesn’t matter which title or transition I click on, I get the same error message every time.
