    Hello,
I am trying to find out if it is possible to convert a RAM (real media player) file into something that is editable in FCP. I think the problem is that it is compressed for the web. We can’t find any answers so any ideas would be appreciated!

I have never heard of any way to convert Real files into anything usable (other than just watching online) save for using something like Snapz Pro X to take a screenshot of your screen.

Real isn’t designed for what you’re trying to do, in fact they probably don’t want you doing it.

Yes, screen capture it with Snapz Pro X as mentioned above.

    It works VERY well.

And besides, isn’t a RAM file just a data pointer to the actual streaming file ona remote Real Player server. The RAM file is usualy 100k in size since it doesn’t have the actual media contained within it.
