FCP won’t open
I’ve tried trashing the prefs but FCP still won’t open. A message says, “The application FCP quit unexpectedly.” FCP has been working fine, until I moved a 68 gig project from one LaCie auxiliary drive to another one. Then I moved the old one into the trash and started to empty it. I stopped it before it finished, so I still have some of the files I was trying to move sitting there. Don’t know if that’s relevant. The project took two hours to copy over and the files are all sitting on the new drive. I tried opening FCP from the icon, from the icon of the file that I moved and from an icon that is on a totally separate drive. Nothing works and lets me in.
Any ideas? I have a Mac G5 with dual drives, 7 gig of RAM, 1 gig bus speed, FCP 6. This has totally shut me down and I can’t work on anything!

False alarm. I rebooted the computer, opened an old project on another drive, and all worked fine. So I closed that project and opened the one that I had moved, and it opened up too. Guess I could have explored a bit more before panicking, but who know when my mistakes will help someone else!
