  FCP with HDV capture trouble

  Dear all,
  Hi, I’m working with HDV on a project and using my HD FX1 to digitize via firewire into the computer. I am having trouble doing that because it keeps making a new clip and dropping 2 *this is consistent per new clip* frames. even when I change my preferences, it keeps doing this. In a 20 minute section, I end up with hundreds of clips! why is this happening, and what can I do to fix it?
  is it because there may have been a break in TC — The tape has many clips, but when I play it down, the tc looks continuous to the eye….. or is it because the pix changes in the middle of a GOP — mpeg2 file trouble?
