FCP wants to batch capture more than necessary – suggestions.
In trying to rebuill my 18 minute sequence using batch capture, FCP HD wants to capture a lot more than is on the sequence. It seems to be using media start and ends instead of the ins and outs of my clips.
For example, even when I select an 8 second offline clip on the timeline to capture, FCP wants to capture an hour worth of footage. Trying to rebuild my sequence, FCP wants to capture about 10 hours of footage when the cut is only 18 minutes.
I don’t know what caused this, but I’d like any help I can get.

Use the media manager to copy the offline clips and also cut the rest of the master clip out.
Once you dothis you will have a new project and sequence from which you wll then dig from.
