    Hello,

I know this has prob been tackled several times but here i go anyway…

I just got the aj-pcd2. Now i need to inport intp FCP 6.0.4

I already installed what i thought was the correct drivers but the proble is…

WHEN I GO TO IMPORT FROM THE FILE MENU, THERE IS NO “P2” OPTION TO SELECT.

What do i need to do to get that option?

    Thanks,

    Mike V

The system i’m using today is:
    OS 10.5.5
    4×2.5ghz Power PC G5
    4GB Ram

The name of the interface has changed. It is now called LOG AND TRANSFER, as this tool is now used for more than P2….AVCIntra, AVCHD, RED….

    Right below Log and Capture.

That was changed. Use the “Log and Transfer” option. At the top left of the left hand window that appears is a small icon that you click to choose the drive/device that has your media.

    Thanks Fellas,

But do any of you know what to do with this problem of SEEING DIGITAL BREAKUP IN THE VIEWER OF THE LOG AND TRANSFER WINDOW?

What format did you shoot? Do you still have the camera? Can you play these clips in the camera? What about getting P2CMS AND P2 VIEWER…try to view the native MXF files in something other than FCP. Demos of MXF4QT and HD Log might be out there…try those. MXF4QT is really slick when it comes to integrating MXF native files to FCP.

    Thanks again Shane.

    I just figured it out.
I had my aj-pcd20 hooked up firewire on the same bus as my aja iohd, thus…no likey.

As soon as i plugged the pcd20 into an express fw slot..bing,bang,boom…

    awesome!

Your tutorials rock, thanks my man.
