  • FCP Tool Palette & Audio Meter Is Gone

    Although I can check and uncheck both the tool palette and audio meters in the Window column, they will not display on my monitors. This problem began after I loaded the new Tiger OS. An thoughts?

  • First step is to quit and re-start the Mac and FCP.

    Next to try would be to Trash the FCP Preferences.

    Another method is to use “FCP Rescue” a free Apple Script that will Trash the Preferences for you (and restore nearly all of your user settings afterward).
    There are versions for FCP & FCE.

    Also just simply try choosing a preset window workspace like standard. Tiger might have messed with your screen sizes/arrangement and the window could simply be off screen.
