Yeah, very intersting, similar POV to mine, I just need to save up a bit more cash, and I’m terminating my relationship with Apple products… may keep my MPB for archive projects, in case a client wants a tweak to an past project.

and BTW, the real time acceleration they achieve with that Mercury engine is phenomenal, really amazing if you do multi layered work.

I should point out, Premiere Pro DOES have an equivalent to the ‘close gap’ command he talks about in FCP- if you right-click in a gap, a little menu will come up with the option to ‘ripple delete’.
