FCP to Motion issues
Hi, I’m using Motion’s new optical flow analysis to slowmo some clips out of FCP and I’m wondering if someone can shed light on a couple of issues:
1) Whether I send one clip or a group of clips, when Motion is rendering, it seems many more frames than are listed either in Motion or FCP. One clip was 255 frames and showed up 2553 frames in Motion’s render estimate window, taking over an hour to render. Anyone run across this? Not sure where the extra frames are coming from or rendering to.
2) Once Motion has rendered, the clip still needs to be rendered in FCP… Any idea where the media is for this, where it goes? Can I quit Motion and still do an FCP render?
3) If I have 10-bit YUV selected in FCP, is Motion rendering 10-bit or better?
Thanks in advance for your sage advice. -Jerome
