Not true Shane,

All aja products have the ability to output Bars via any of the outputs.

All you need to do is set the Kona Control to output Bars and it will.

the only caveat is you need to have the Kona control panel app in the foreground.

Did anyone calibrate a TV set with the AJA Box?

That wasn’t what I meant Gary. The MXO has an INTERNAL calibration tool. You can adjust chroma, contrast, brightness so that you can balance the monitor…properly calibrate it to bars. The AJA products don’t do this…they rely on the monitors ability to do this.

I have the MXO2 and love it!
If all you need is a HDMI monitoring solution then you found the right one with the MXO2 Mini. I’d recommend getting the one with H.264 encoding built in. It runs for $850 …. still less expensive than the AJA box.
