    Hi,

I’m about to start a project that is going to be delivered on a cell phone. Anyone got any advice or warnings on this? Any links or resources that were helpful? I’ll be editing in FCP. I know the audio will lose some quality when it’s heard through the cell phone speakers / headphones. What do you think would be the best codec to use for the final export? Any information would be greatly appreceated.

    Thanks,
    -foo

    Or just random cell phones?

The audio will lose some quality?

Maybe a bit more info from you would help.

You definitely need to find out what the final product/provider you will deliver to will require. Streaming or not? Which version of 3GP? File size limitations?

Many different phones view the same file many different ways – and remember most 3gp have a 15fps limit! You can increase bitrates above the 192kbps limit…but a lot of phones will choke up and you will loose sync with your audio. These are just SOME of the issues with cell phone content delivery!
