FCP to Beta SP no picture
Hi,
I’m trying to output from FCP to Beta Sp through a patchbay, and am having problems. The Audio records on to tape, but no picture. I’m using a Sony PVW 2800, through a blackmagic card using the apple pro ress 422 codec. Any leads?

I would check if your card is outputting on component AND if your deck is set to component input. The deck may have an external switch to go between composite, dub, and component.

Check out this: go to ➔ FCP Audio/Video Settings ➔ A/V Devices ➔ Different Output for edit to Tape/Print to Video, and this one should NOT be tabbed!

After making sure that your patching is correct, check here:
Apple Menu/System Preferences/Blackmagic/Settings Tab/Set Output (needs to be on Y, R-Y, B-Y)
