FCP to Apple Color workflow
I am using FCP 6 to Apple Color 1.0.4
I find that when I have a lot of “fast cuts” in my sequence, Color tends to interpret some of these “cuts” as much longer clips.
This creates the problem of unruly long RENDER times in Color.
The sequence is very short, and the majority of sections with effects are baked .mov.
Everything is on the first video track.
Some of the in and out DURATION TIMES for the shots in COLOR are
way different than what they are in my FCP timeline.
In COLOR : I will have some shots that are like one second, (TRUE), and then some shots that are like five minutes (FALSE) – thus creating the unusually long RENDER times for such a short sequence.
I am trying to figure out a workflow in FCP that allows for easier RENDER times in COLOR when dealing with “fast cuts” compiled from just a few different .mov clips.
I know my software is out of date.
