I’m currently editing a music video in which I’m cutting about every three seconds or so between 25 different takes of the artist performing the song. Once I have a rough cut of it, I’ll be bringing it into AE to do some animation but will be using it as a transition for many of the shots, so I’m trying to figure out what the best way is to get my cut into AE where I’ll be able to use the overlapping from the subclips, etc in FCP. Is there any way to do this? Also, the footage has been slowed down to 80%, so I need to factor this in as well when it gets brought into AE (I figure I’ll bring it back to 100 then slow it in AE b/c it will do a better job than the speed adjusting in FCP does). Any help is great, thanks.
