    Hello all,
I am having a problem capturing from a Sony HDW-2000. It is coming into an AJA Kona LH card as SD. What seems to be happening is the timecode is slipping a little bit. On tapes that I have captured, the timecode in FCP displays an earlier timecode than the one on the tape (for example, FCP shows 03:57:30;00 while the same image on the tape itself is at 04:01:30;00).

This has created a problem because when I capture, FCP keeps trying to capture after the end of the tape because it thinks it is at an earlier point than it really is. BTW, when I log the clips under Log and Capture the timecode displays fine. Any ideas how to fix this?

What frame rate was the footage shot at and what is the deck set to. We had a client who shot at 29.97 and the rental deck was set to 23.98 and it caused all sorts of problems. It involved using a paper clip to get into the right menu on the deck.

I just checked the deck, it’s actually not capable of anything but 29.97. Any other ideas?
    Thanks
