FCP Text Questions
Hi All,
I have two questions regarding text in Final Cut Pro:
1. Does FCP have an effect which can write text onto the screen (as though someone were writing the text onto my monitor with a felt pen)?
2. How do I make the letters in my text video images rather than plain color?
All help appreciated.

Use Livetype. It is designed for this. And comes bundled with FCP.

Livetype is good for the handwritten text, and you can do the video fill of letters in FCP…on V1, put your background, on v2 put the text you want to be filled, on v3 put the image you want filling the text and then change the composite mode of the clip on v3 to travel matte luma. good luck
